RuthsBeans

This is one of those recipes that I tried at a gathering (in this case, a trip back home to meet up with family) and I loved it so much, I had to ask the person who made it (Ruth, obvi) for the recipe. A word of warning, though...the spice on this is going to be a bit more than what you might expect from just bacon, sugar and pepper. Take it a little easy on the pepper the first time you make it, to make sure it's what you want. (Especially before you serve it to your very spice-averse 6-year-old!)

I love traditional baked beans as much as the next man, but the bacon / brown sugar / black pepper beauty of this dish really needs to be tried.
